- My name is Keren Fu (傅可人) and I'm a research associate professor (副研究员) with the College of Computer Science (Link to Biometrics Research Laboratory), Sichuan Univerisity, Chengdu, China.

(我现招收2021级入学的硕士研究生!)

- I received my dual Ph.D. degrees from both Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden, in 2016, and joined Sichuan University in 2017.

- My current interests mainly focus on visual computing, saliency analysis, stereo vision, and machine learning.

About me

I received the B.S. degree from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, in 2011, and dual Ph.D. degrees from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China, and Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden, in 2016, under the joint supervision of Prof. Jie Yang and Prof. Irene Yu-Hua Gu. I am currently a research associated professor with College of Computer Science, Sichuan University, Chengdu, China. My current research interests include visual computing, saliency analysis, and machine learning.

Current projects

3D face reconstruction: A project aiming at products of portable 3D face cameras that could reconstruct 3D face in practical scenes, with applications to 3D face rendering and recognition, etc.

Face recognition: Face recognition in the wild is a challenging problem due to varying poses and illumination conditions. Specially, we are interesting in matching a 2D face image to 3D face model to pursue a better performance than conventional 2D-2D face recognition.

Salient object detection: Salient object detection (SOD) is to find and highlight visually conspicuou objects from a scene.The outcomes of saliency detection are so-called saliency maps, where the pixel-wise intensity indicates the degree of how much this scene location attracts human attention.
